About the Artist

Nicole Hitchcock Signature in Black

As a mixed media artist, Nicole’s work transcends traditional boundaries, blending collage, resin, and various materials to create intricate, layered pieces. Her art is deeply personal, often exploring themes of transformation, renewal, and imperfection. Drawing from the philosophy of Kintsugi, she embraces the beauty found in the broken and the strength within vulnerability.

Nicole has been a full-time artist since 2020, following a successful career as the owner of a luxury salon in the Bay Area. Seeking a slower pace and more quality time with their son, Nicole and her husband relocated to Idaho, where she found her creative voice in art. What began as a way to stay creative during the transition from stylist to artist has blossomed into a profound, full-time artistic practice.

Based in the vibrant Surel Mitchell Live-Work-Create District of Garden City, Idaho, Nicole’s work is regularly featured in local venues and galleries across the region. Each piece tells a story, inviting viewers to reflect on identity, memory, and the beauty of life’s imperfections.

For Nicole, art is more than just the finished product—it’s about the journey. Her passion for contemporary art lies in the delicate balance between chaos and order, creating spaces for viewers to connect with the emotions, fragments, and narratives that make up her unique vision.
